I am thrilled to announce that my short story ‘Coming Back to Life’ is now published! It’s one of twenty short stories in the stunning Aesthetica Magazine, and features in their annual Creative Writing Award .
It’s exciting to be part of this wonderful collections of poems and twenty short stories, in the 2021 edition.
The editors say they selected poetry and short fiction which they felt connected readers to a ‘profound sense of their shared humanity.’ Not surprisingly, they noted how much the pandemic featured in the background of many of these pieces. In addition, there were themes of inequality and injustice in the world.
Still, there were sparks of hope.
