@ Artefact, Stirchley

Always love the open-mic slots at Stirchley Speaks. This month featured talented headliners Hannah Ledlie and Tehilah Henry who are both making names for themselves on the circuit.

Artefact is a great venue – a cafe, art gallery and performance space, which is very popular in the area. For this monthly spoken word event, poets and spoken word artists come from all over the Midlands, and as far away as Bristol and Swindon, to share their work at the open-mic. There is always a warm audience and welcoming atmosphere.

This month, I gave a trial outing to two of my new poems, The Prick and Fusion. The feedback was very encouraging.
