There was a full-house for our BLF show at The Old Joint Stock Theatre in October. I joined the stage with a terrific line-up of award-winning poets, authors, musicians and playwrights.

It was a chance to showcase the talents of Writing West Midlands Room 204 at The Birmingham Literature Festival 2019.

Billed as ‘some of the most exciting writers in the Midlands’, we explored the theme: How do words, music and performance ‘sustain us through thick and thin’?

It was a varied programme of poems, short fiction, monologues, original songs and storytelling.  The WWM creative team, led by Naomi Paul and Justina Hart, created a lovely warm atmosphere in the theatre. The audience was warm and appreciative and we were so excited that they were packing the audience in to a full house.

Our host and skilful compere was WWM Chief Executive, Jonathan Davidson. And by all accounts, the evening was a hit!
